INTRODUCTORY TRAINING AND GATHERING OF ALL THE PARTICIPANTS – OPENING OF THE FOURTH CYCLE OF THE PROGRAMME “CREATIVE MENTORSHIP”

The introductory training for mentors and mentees of the new generation of the “Creative Mentorship” programme was held on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th February at the Cultural center Grad in Belgrade. We had the pleasure to welcome again Pamela von Sabljar from Sweden, a longtime educational partner of the “Creative Mentorship” programme and author, trainer and lecturer in the field of personal development, leadership and communication. The workshop for mentors, about the principles of coaching, was led by a former mentor of the “Creative Mentorship” programme, Stella Karl Cosic, executive and business coach.

This was the first event within the programme that brought together mentees and mentors, and the complete “Creative Mentorship” team. Also, several alumni and mentors from previous generations joined the event and shared their experience of participation in the programme. The event was opened by the president and co-founder of the “Creative mentoriship” programme Dragana Jevtic, who thanked everyone for the given trust, willingness to improve themselves and to share their knowledge.

The goal of the training was to introduce the mentees and the mentors of the fourth cycle, to inform them about the key elements, structure and expectations of the programme. Also, the aim of the training was to present the principles of open communication and mentoring in the “Creative mentorship” programme. We talked about values, motivation, ways of learning, levels of communication, the forms of mentoring, the forms of mentoring sessions, the goals on which mentees can work and the topics that mentoring couples can discuss.

On Saturday were presented new Mentoring Tools, specially prepared for the mentees and mentors of the programme. They were made by the “Creative Mentorship” team, based on its  experience and work with previous generations. This is the first year when the mentees and mentors will have the opportunity to use this tools. The Mentoring Tools partly can be found at https://www.kreativnomentorstvo.com/mentorski-alati-2/?lang=en
For the introductory training, the tools were prepared by Dasha Spasojevic and printed at “Vizartis”, which is also a “Creative mentorship’s” supporter and friend for years.

The second day of training began with a coaching workshop for the mentors of the IV cycle, that was led by Stella Karl Ćosic. The mentors of previous generations joined the workshop and shared their experiences concerning the work with mentees.
In the afternoon, Pamela von Sabljar discussed different topics that menties of the IV cycle and alumni mentees were interested in. She also encouraged them to leave their comfort zone and to consciously work with mentors on achieving their goals. By the end of the training, the trainers and the “Creative mentorship” team had answered all the questions and doubts that mentees had about mentoring process.

After the introductory training finished, we officially can say that we are optimistically entering another cycle of the “Creative Mentorship” programme, and looking forward to supporting the mentees and mentors. We are pleased to be welcomed again in the Cultural center “Grad”, and we would like to especially thank Pamela von Sabljar and Stella Karl Ćosić for their dedicated work, but also the alumni who shared their experiences with the new mentees, in order to encourage them in overcoming the potential obstacles, to direct and inspire them.
