“Creative mentorship” affirms mentoring as a tool of personal and professional development, strengthens the capacities of the cultural sector and provides support to prospective professionals interested in developing, networking and sharing knowledge and experience. We want to build, gather and support a community of motivated and socially responsible individuals that will contribute to the development of a society based on creativity, culture, knowledge and mutual cooperation.

    POOL OF MENTORS

    Since 2015, the ” Creative Mentorship” programme builds and develops a network of interested mentors, outstanding professionals from different fields. They recognize mentorship as a method of lifelong learning and exchange of knowledge and experience, so they want to share their experience and support young and prospective professionals.

    By building a wide network of potential mentors, the ” Creative Mentorship” programme is able to provide better support for the mentees. At the same time, knowledge, skills, contacts and other resources that are available to mentors through the Pool of Mentors, can be precious for their personal and professional development, as well. The Pool of Mentors currently has more than 100 members from different professional areas. Only a portion of them takes part in the active Creative Mentorship cycle. Other members have the opportunity to participate in the mentorship training, workshops, lectures and meetings, and to provide short-term support as co-mentors if needed.

    The mentors engaged in the” Creative Mentorship” programme are leading professionals who come from different generations and fields, from Serbia and abroad, but they identify themselves with the values of the programme and participate in it pro bono. They are experts in the fields of culture, business, politics, marketing, media, education, science, activism, diplomacy etc. and want to share their rich professional and life experience with younger generations and thereby invest in people and communities.

    In the first five cycles, the mentors were local and international professionals, such as: Olga Svoboda, Head of solutions development at TACK TMI, global company for consulting and coaching; Ivan Milivojev, one of founders of various festivals in Serbia and region, such as: EXIT festival, Warriors Dance Festival, Sea Dance Festival, R:EVOL:UTION i #DEV9T; Iva Čukić, director of the Insttitute for Urban Policies and founder and program director of Street Galery in Belgrade; Anđelka Janković, producentkinja i kulturna preduzetnica, menadžerka marketinga Bitef festivala; Nathan Koeshall, director and co-founder of Catalyst Balkans, foundation that supports development of philantropy in region; Mihailo Janković, former director of Nectas Group company, holder of the award for the leadership development among young people; Lazar Džamić, creative strategist, former team lead for brand strategy at Google creatve think-thank ZOO in London; Natali Beljanski, executive director of the Street Musicians Festival in Novi Sad; Joachim Waern, deputy chief of mission at the Embassy of Sweden in Belgrade; Miša Stojiljković, a journalist, psychologist and media consultant; Ana Pejović, program manager of KROKODIL association at that time; Toni O`Brajan, former Director of the British Council for the Western Balkans; Jasna Dimitrijević, Director of the Kolarac Foundation; Milan Savić, director of international saxophone festival „Belgrade Saxpirience“; Marija Desivojević Cvetković, Delta Holding Vice President; Maja Lalić, Creative Director of Mikser; Branislav Dimitrijević, professor and art theoretician; Milan Petrović, President of the Serbian Association of Managers at that time; Helen Laršon, formet cultural attaché at Swedish Embassy in Serbia.

    The Application for The Pool of Mentors contains detailed information on the role of a mentor, mentors’ responsibilities, support and opportunities that mentors get during the programme. Also, you can find information about what you can expect if you are not chosen as a mentor in the upcoming cycle of Creative Mentorship 2021.     You can always apply and join the pool of mentors. However, if you apply by October 1st, 2021, you may be selected as one of the mentors for the VI cycle.
