Creative Mentorship at TEDx Belgrade 2026!

Our Dragana Jevtić, Founder and Director of Creative Mentorship, was one of six inspiring speakers at this year’s TEDx Belgrade, an independently organized event held under license from TED, which took place on October 19 at the Palace of Science in Belgrade, under the theme “Knowledge That Cannot Be Taught.”

We are grateful to the organizers for the invitation and the opportunity to speak about the principles and values of mentorship and its impact on personal and professional development, as well as on positive change in society. This was a particularly meaningful moment for us – an opportunity to share the knowledge and experience we have gained over more than 15 years of work in Serbia, the Western Balkans, and internationally with a much wider, potentially global audience.

Dragana spoke about the power of mentorship, the benefits a mentoring relationship brings to both mentees and mentors, and how its positive impact extends beyond the individuals involved – to their teams, organizations, communities, and society as a whole. Joining her on the TEDx stage were Mate Rimac, speaking about innovation and entrepreneurship; Daniel Tani, sharing experiences and life lessons from his career as an astronaut; Dalija Aćin Thelander, exploring inclusive art; Aleksandar Baucal, speaking about learning and development; and Relja Dereta, highlighting the importance of effective communication and the ability to listen as a prerequisite for better mutual understanding.

Their diverse and inspiring stories reminded us that learning happens not only through formal education, but also through experience, trial and success, encounters, and exchanges with others – throughout our lives, regardless of age or professional path.

We are especially pleased that, thanks to the livestream, students and young professionals were also able to follow the event. We hope Dragana’s story inspired them to recognize mentorship as a two-way process of learning, exchange, and mutual support – encouraging them not only to seek out mentors but also to share their own knowledge and experience with others.

We will be sharing the recording of Dragana’s TEDx Belgrade talk soon!
