“Creative mentorship” affirms mentoring as a tool of personal and professional development, strengthens the capacities of the cultural sector and provides support to prospective professionals interested in developing, networking and sharing knowledge and experience. We want to build, gather and support a community of motivated and socially responsible individuals that will contribute to the development of a society based on creativity, culture, knowledge and mutual cooperation.

On Sunday, 21 October, the participants of the fourth generation of the programme “Creative Mentorship” had a chance to take part in the workshop “People are not difficult but different”, learn more about different types of people who we interact with in our everyday business communication, develop their social skills, improve their communication with people who differ from them and their ability to coordinate a team.

The workshop was led by Olga Svoboda, International Solutions Development Director within Gi Group, whomour participants have already met when she held the workshop about setting goals, at the beginning of the fourth “Creative Mentorship” programme cycle.

The workshop “People are not difficult but different” is based on the DISC theoryof Willian Marston, an american psychologist. It was introduced on the beginning of 20thcentury, explaining preferred human behaviors styles.

Using different interactive tasks and examples from her professional experience, Olga Svoboda presented this theory to the participants of the fourth generation of the programme “Creative Mentorship”. also, she help them learn to recognize the differences between people in their professional environment and adapt their communication to every single member of the team.

This workshop has been hel on regular basis within the “Creative Mentorship” programme, and is incorporated as a part of the programme. On this occasion we post the video that was taken in 2016.
We thank the GiGroup for giving up for us their wonderful working space. Special thanks to Olga for the time she dedicated to this workshop that will be very useful for the participants of our programme and whose advices they will follow in their future professional communication.
The workshop was evaluated again with the highest marks, so it is our great pleasure to continue this sucessful collaboration.
