“Creative mentorship” affirms mentoring as a tool of personal and professional development, strengthens the capacities of the cultural sector and provides support to prospective professionals interested in developing, networking and sharing knowledge and experience. We want to build, gather and support a community of motivated and socially responsible individuals that will contribute to the development of a society based on creativity, culture, knowledge and mutual cooperation.



Creative Mentorship, the first long term nonprofit mentoring program for perspective professionals in culture, arts, creative industries and cultural heritage from throughout Serbia is expanding its team! We are looking for the new Program Manager.

  • Call is open until November 12th;
  • Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews between November 15th and 22nd in Belgrade, in person;
  • Start of engagement not earlier than December 1st 2018.

Under supervision and in collaboration with the Founder and Director of Creative Mentorship, Program Manager will implement the program methodology in the V cycle of Creative Mentorship, organize activities within the program, communicate, coordinate and support mentoring couples and supervise PR of Creative Mentorship in accordance to the vision and mission of CM.

PM will be responsible for the overall management of the program, collaboration with mentees and mentors, realization of educational program, financial and administrative management and evaluation of all activities.

Strategic directions are to be taken together with the two Founders and the Advisory Board of CM.

Key activities are to be implemented by Program Manager and Director jointly. Program Manager reports on realized activities, progress of mentoring couples, visibility and expenditures to Director on a monthly basis.

Program Manager will be introduced to Creative Mentorship background, principles and methodology and weekly supported and mentored during the first months by the current Program Manager, Founder and Director and other members of the team.

Job description:

  • Following vision and setting and following objectives and goals of CM
  • Leading and organizing the CM team together with Director, supporting, coordinating, developing and evaluating the work of the team members, consult and learn from other team members
  • Presenting CM in public
  • Implementing Call for Participants, organizing and holding public presentations, facilitating selection process for mentees, matching with mentors and goal setting of mentoring couples by following the CM methodology and procedures
  • Preparing and organizing educational activities such as trainings, lectures, debates and other networking and public events within the program in consultation with Founder and Educational Advisor
  • Monitoring and supporting mentoring couples together with member of the team in charge of support to mentees and mentors, following the CM methodology and procedures
  • Promoting mentoring in partnership with different organizations and initiatives in wider society, collaborating with other mentoring programs in Serbia and the region
  • Assisting Director with fund-raising – preparing applications, reports and contracts
  • Contributing to PR and communication strategy, in collaboration with member of the team in charge of PR and communication
  • Setting, implementing and monitoring the budget, administrative and financial tasks
  • Informing and communicating with the Advisory Board of CM, ensuring their appropriate participation and support to CM, implementing the decisions and plans agreed on the AB annual meetings
  • Evaluating specific activities and overall programme and compiling monthly, interim and final narrative and financial reports following the CM methodology and procedures

Relevant competences, knowledge, experience and skills:

  • deep understanding and shared values of personal and professional development, sharing knowledge and experience, mutual collaboration, lifelong learning, intersectorial dialogue and cooperation
  • good knowledge, understanding and professional experience in local cultural and creative scene conditions, stakeholders, diverse institutions and projects
  • experience in mentoring process, as mentee, mentor or facilitator of mentoring relationship is desirable
  • management and coordination skills, efficiency
  • thoroughness, administrative and financial management skills
  • developed social and communication skills, presentation skills and proficiency in email communication, extroversion
  • independence, self-leadership and initiative, but also team spirit
  • proficiency in English, oral and written

Terms of employment:

  • One full – time position, 4 or 5 days a week, in the space of Nova Iskra, workplace costs are covered by CM.
  • Specific hours are to be agreed between Program Manager and Director.
  • Start of engagement not earlier than December 1st 2018.
