Mentorship in Focus: Announcement of the First Episode of the Creative Mentorship Podcast
The best stories about mentorship come from those who have experienced working within a mentoring relationship firsthand! With 12 years of experience in designing and running mentoring and educational programs at the domestic, regional, and international levels, the Creative Mentorship team can confidently endorse this saying. For this reason, in April 2024, two special episodes of the Creative Mentorship podcast will be broadcast, giving a broader audience the chance to hear “first-hand stories” from alumni of the Creative Mentorship program in a popular media format for the first time. Through relaxed and inspiring conversations, the wider audience will hear personal experiences from outstanding guests and learn why they chose to continue spreading the mission and vision of mentorship and how this principle of lifelong learning can be crucial and motivating for anyone working and creating in the fields of culture, art, creative industries, and media.
The first episode will air on April 1st at 8:00 PM on the Creative Mentorship YouTube channel. The guests for the first episode will be Creative Mentorship alumni Maja Bosnić and Dobrivoje “Lale” Erić, with the discussion led by media expert Maša Mileusnić.
Maja Bosnić is a composer from Belgrade drawn to absurd solutions, limited possibilities, unexpected outcomes, audience participation, treating instruments as “ready-made” objects, and using everyday objects as musical instruments. She earned her PhD in composition from Goldsmiths University in London and is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Composition at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade. She writes music for various ensembles, orchestras, electronics, and multimedia art projects, with her compositions performed at art and music festivals worldwide. Since 2010, she has been organizing contemporary music workshops and concerts in Serbia through the Zabuna organization. Last year, the CK13 center released a double album of her compositions titled Portrait of a Composer – Maja Bosnić (2023).
Dobrivoje “Lale” Erić is an art historian by education but has always been a passionate enthusiast of science. Lale Erić has led the Department of International Cooperation at the Center for the Promotion of Science in Serbia since 2015. He is currently the main coordinator of the FASIH project, focused on interdisciplinary research of the industrial and cultural heritage of Belgrade, Rijeka, and Trbovlje, and is the national coordinator for the European Digital Agreement project. He also has extensive experience in managing large European projects at both the national and regional levels.
If you want to hear something new about one of the most useful forms of informal education, we warmly recommend listening to the upcoming conversation with Maja and Lale. You will certainly feel empowered when you learn how mentorship can impact both personal and professional development and how you can start making initial steps toward achieving your personal goals through mentorship methodology.
