“CREATIVE MENTORSHIP” AT THIRD “KRENI” CONFERENCE IN NIŠ

“KRENI” conference was founded three years ago by young activists from organization Young Ambassadors. One of the leaders of  this event and whole organizastion is Snežana Antić, an alumni member of “Creative mentorship” programme.

We are proud that we had the opportunity to support Snezana Andric through our mentoring program. Snezana is a young sociologist and youth activist from Nis who has been the Secretary General of the Young Ambassadors for several years now.  She was one of the most active and committed participants in our programme and she also achieved exceptional cooperation with Maja Lalic, Creative Director of Mikser, who was her mentor.

“KRENI” conference is a five-day creative industry conference where young people with initial experience in one of the creative industries (design, architecture, advertising, it, multimedia, creative industries) will work with six foreign speakers to develop their ideas that contribute solving social problems in Niš.

A few months ago, members of “KRENI” conference invited “Creative mentoriship” to develope official cooperation and to participate in the program of this year’s conference. To our great satisfaction, and hopefully also of the selected participants at the conference, Tatjana Nikolic, program manager, will hold an introductory workshop at the beginning of the last day of the conference. We want to get to know more than 30 young and promising creatives from Niš who are participating in the conference with the topics of mentoring, personal and professional development, goal setting, questioning and networking, which are some of the basic principles of the program “Creative mentorship”. The workshop was  held on Sunday, December 3rd at 10.30 am at the Officiers House in Niš.

The participants said about the workshop:

Very interactive and useful.
I am very pleased and now informed about mentoring.
The workshop is very useful. It motivated me to make even more effort to reach the level I want.
It is important to first consider what we want and then to go in that direction.
The workshop is excellent, I have no objections, all praise for encouraging young people to think about the future.
I am thrilled. I got new views on the development of the desired goals.
Everything was clear and loud. I would like that cooperation may continue through the Young Ambassadors …

Workshop results:

I have to focus and pinpoint problems
I’m more inspired to look for a mentor
I am more motivated to work on my own development
Getting to know new promotion methods
I know how to recognize who can be my mentor
I have an idea to tell the mentor …

In addition, we were in the group of mentors who, on the last day of the conference, contributed to the quality of the ideas that will be elaborated at the conference. We are pleased to have found ourselves in the group of mentors together with Maja Lalic, Creative Director of Mikser and Milan Janjic, graphic designer with great experience in advertising, as well as Snezana Andric, Secretary General of the Young Ambassadors and Branko Krsmanovic, President of the Young Ambassadors.

You can read about the past whole conference in the organizer’s report.
