BOJANA KOVAČEVIĆ AT PRESTIGIOUS TRAINING FOR FESTIVAL MANAGERS IN BELGIUM
Bojana Kovačević, a project manager at National Theater in Sombor and prominent alumni of the “Creative Mentorship” programme recently participated in a prestigious training for festival managers in Antwerp, Belgium.
Training for festival managers is organized for the third time by The Festival Academy, and first part of this training was held from January 17th till 20th in Antwerp. For this training qualified 12 managers from 9 countries and among them also Bojana Kovacevic. In the third cycle of our programme “Creative Mentorship” her mentor was Jelena Knežević, executive director at BITEF who encourged Bojana to apply for this training. Jelena participated also in this programme and represented Serbia in Beirut in 2015.
This training allows participants to get to know and share experiences and knowledge with diferent experts in production management.
Some of the lecturers at this first part of training were: Jerry Aerts, director of deSingel International Arts Campus in Antwerp where this programme was held, Hugo de Greef, former EFA Secretary General, Celestine Kubelka, producer at Wienner Festwochen from Austria, Roy Luxford, Planning and Operations Director of the Edinburgh International Festival, Annet Lekkerkerker, Managing Director of the Holland Festival and many others.
The second part of the training involves practical work at one of the EFA members’ festivals for at least 7 days during 2018th and third part is final 3 days session at the end of November in Santarcangelo, Italy.
Participation on this training with limited number of participants Bojana came with help of mayor of Sombor Du[anka Golubovi’ and National Theater Sombor, where she works.
We are glad that Bojana’s efforts, knowledge and abilities are recognized and supported, and we hope that young professionals from Serbia will have more oportunities like this.
