
Creative Mentorship is implementing two mentorship programmes within the EU-funded project Culture and Creativity for the Western Balkans (CC4WBs). These programmes are designed to strengthen professionals and build resilient cultural ecosystems, while fostering regional cooperation, growth, and sustainable change in the cultural and creative sectors of the Western Balkans.

This one – year long mentorship programme began in February 2025 and is intended for 30 young professionals aged 18 to 35 from six Western Balkans IPA beneficiary countries working in the fields of culture, the arts, and the creative industries. The programme aims to provide participants with a space for professional and personal development through the support of 30 experienced mentors, the expert team of Creative Mentorship, a tailor-made educational programme, and peer-to-peer knowledge and experience exchange.

This programme brought together 25 participants from six Western Balkans IPA beneficiary countries1 who, with the support of 25 mentors and the Creative Mentorship team, worked on strengthening their capacities in the field of culture and creative industries. An added value of the programme was the Educational Programme, designed based on the mentees’ needs, which enabled them to acquire specific knowledge and tools for further professional development. After completing the programme, participants reported improved knowledge and skills, increased self-confidence, motivation, professional engagement, and stronger regional connections.

Creative Mentorship is an independent, nonprofit, civil society organization that has been developing and implementing mentorship and capacity-building programmes for professionals in the fields of arts, culture, creative industries, since 2011. in Serbia, the Western Balkans, and across Europe.
As a regional expert organization specializing in mentoring and capacity building, Creative Mentorship’s mission is threefold: First, through a year-long core mentorship program, Creative Mentorship empowers professionals and builds capacities in the culture, art, and media sectors. Creative Mentorship has been continuously supporting a steadily growing network of 350+ alumni through various programmes, debates, conferences, educational activities, and networking opportunities.Through the second pillar, Creative Mentorship promotes mentorship, life-long learning, personal and professional development, and mutual support and exchange of knowledge and experience. Finally, through the third pillar, Creative Mentorship shares its knowledge and methodology for developing and implementing mentorship programmes globally through international collaborations, while through its consultancy work, it supports other organizations in designing and developing their own mentorship programmes, or in implementing them with the support of the Creative Mentorship team.
