Info Day on the CC4WBs Programme: Presentation of the Results of the Mentorship Programme for Creative Leaders

An info day dedicated to the Culture and Creativity for the Western Balkans (CC4WBs) programme was held on 13 November at the EU House in Belgrade, bringing together artists, organisations, and professionals from the cultural and creative sectors interested in learning more about the opportunities this regional initiative offers. The event presented the programme’s achievements to date, current and upcoming open calls, as well as the experiences of users who are already part of the CC4WBs network.

Particular attention was drawn to the panel discussion with programme participants, which featured, among others, the Director of Creative Mentorship, Dragana Jevtić. Dragana shared her experience in leading and implementing the Mentorship Programme for Creative Leaders, as well as the current Creative Mentorship programme for young professionals, which is carried out with the support of the CC4WBs project. She spoke about how the mentoring process contributes to the development of participants and the kinds of results the programme achieves in practice. Dragana confirmed the fact that mentoring really changes the lives of the participants – through their empowerment, knowing that they know where they want to go, what their goals are and how to get there; that through the programme they work both strategically and operationally on themselves, but also on the organizations and institutions in which they are employed. Also, she mentioned an extremely important segment of these mentorship programmes, which is networking and connecting for future potential collaborations together with talented colleagues from the entire Western Balkans region.

The event reinforced the importance of creating sustainable opportunities for young professionals in the region and the key role that mentoring programmes play in supporting their long-term growth and development.

Creative Mentorship for Young Professionals programme is supported by the British Council as a part of the project “Culture and Creativity for the Western Balkans” (CC4WBs). CC4WBs is a project funded by the European Union that aims to foster dialogue in the Western Balkans by enhancing the cultural and creative sectors for increased socio-economic impact.
