Creative Mentorship in collaboration with MetaRed hosted a webinar for employees from 80 universities across 8 countries
In recent years, the Creative Mentoring team has increasingly collaborated with international partners and shared the story of mentorship worldwide. This is confirmed by two Erasmus+ projects, REMAM – Reinventing Mentorship in Arts Management (2021-2023) and Music4Change (2022-2025), in which the Creative Mentoring has been involved as a partner.
Invited by the MetaRed – a network constituted by Ibero-American universities and educational insitutions focused on using technology to enhance educational and operational models of universities, and a partner from the REMAM project (University of the Basque Country), the Creative Mentoring held a webinar on 25 April 2024, for over 80 universities involved in entrepreneurship. The webinar was attended by rectors, deans, professors, and other university staff from Spain, Portugal, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, and Argentina.
Dragana Jevtić, Director and Co-founder of Creative Mentorship, delivered a presentation titled “Why Mentorship?” in which she explained all the benefits of mentorship programmes within institutions and the importance of mentorship as a thinking principle. Dragana also introduced the REMAM tools and presented how to find them at the Creative Mentorship website and how to use them in practice.
The next step in the collaboration between MetaRed and Creative Mentorship will be translating the tools developed within the REMAM project into Spanish and Portuguese. Mentoring tools are designed as part of the REMAM project and intended for mentees, mentors and mentoring programme coordinators. They can be downloaded for free from the Creative Mentorship website via this link.
REMAM interactive toolkit is a practical resource designed for anyone involved in mentorship within the art and cultural fields – whether as a mentee, mentor, or a program coordinator. It offers a collection of key insights, tools, guides and advice in an easy-to-use format suitable for all roles in the mentorship context.
Tailor-made tools are aimed to foster creativity and facilitate communication in a mentoring relationships. Each tool provides an explanation of its context and intended goals, along with step-by-step instructions for implementing the mentoring techniques. Users can select activities based on their role (mentee, mentor, or coordinator) or the stage of the mentoring process (start, during, or end).
