“Creative mentorship” affirms mentoring as a tool of personal and professional development, strengthens the capacities of the cultural sector and provides support to prospective professionals interested in developing, networking and sharing knowledge and experience. We want to build, gather and support a community of motivated and socially responsible individuals that will contribute to the development of a society based on creativity, culture, knowledge and mutual cooperation.

We are very proud to announce that new potential participants – mentees, dedicated professionals from the field of culture, art and creative industries, will once again have the opportunity to receive the support of mentors for a period of one year.

Creative Mentorship for this round has joined the Culture and Creativity for the Western Balkans project funded by the European Union and implemented by UNESCO, the British Council and the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS). Please find more information below.


Are you a young professional in the fields of culture, art or creative industries? Do you want to strengthen your skills, work on your professional and personal development, and get the opportunity to cooperate with European organizations?

If your answer is YES – apply for the programme for Creative Leaders (LOT 1) within which you will have the opportunity to: 1. Pass through the Creative Leaders Academy 2. Receive the opportunity to apply for the Creative Leaders Mentorship programme; 3. Achieve the possibility of winning a Creative Leaders Exchange Grant.

What do you receive by participating in the Mentorship Programme for Creative Leaders?

You receive individual support from a mentor 1-on-1 for a period of one year, the possibility of networking with professionals from the field of culture, art and creative industries from the entire region of the Western Balkans, promotion of your work, but also continuous support from the Creative Mentorship team, which will implement the Mentorship programme. In order for potential interested mentees to apply for the Mentorship Programme, they must go through the Academy for Creative Leaders first. The application deadline for the programme for Creative Leaders (all three programme units – Academy, Mentoring Programme, Grants) is May 15th 2023 until 5PM (CET).

What do you receive by participating in the Creative Leaders programme?

The Creative Leaders Programme (LOT 1) will empower programme participants and support their work in the Western Balkans through various trainings, networking, mentoring, grants for exchange and research, and the creation of a digital portal. The programme consists of three programme units: 1. Creative Leaders Academy; 2. Creative Leaders Mentorship programme; 3. Creative Leaders Exchange grant.

1. The Creative Leaders Academy will be led by recognized European cultural leadership experts. The Academy will cover the following areas: cultural management, business and strategic planning, communication, audience development and engagement, entrepreneurial skills and familiarization with international best practices. Up to 100 participants will have the opportunity to attend the mentioned trainings online.

2. The Creative Leaders Mentorship programme will focus on empowering leaders and future leaders from the Western Balkans, who want to improve their skills and strenghten their professional development through individual work with mentors in relation to their specific goals, through peer learning and networking with colleagues from the region of the entire Western Balkans. The programme will last from September 2023 to September 2024. 24 young leaders who successfully pass the training programme within the Academy for Creative Leaders will have the opportunity to apply for participation in the Mentorship programme. The concept of the programme will be based on the methodology of the Creative Mentorship programme, which will be implemented by our team! 3. Creative Leaders Exchange Grants will be awarded to support networking and direct collaboration between cultural leaders in Western Balkans and the EU through study and research visits. This activity will increase capacities of individuals and their organisations for international partnerships and enhance existing networks in both host and guest organisations at a broader European level.

The programme for Creative Leaders is intended for: Professionals from the fields of culture, art and creative industries over the age of 18, who live and work in the Western Balkans.
