WORK/COMMUNICATION SKILLS WORKSHOP HELD
On Saturday, December 7th, the teamwork/communication skills workshop was held for the participants of the 5th generation of the Creative Mentoring program. In this workshop, participants had the opportunity to work on improving their business communication in order to develop and improve social skills as well as relationships within teams.
The workshop was extremely interactive and through different tasks, role-taking and group work gave the participants the opportunity to learn how to recognize different behaviors of people in their business environment. Through these exercises, they also had the opportunity to learn about the DISC theory of American psychologist William Molton Marston, who maps different types of people to the dominant style of their behavior and learn how to apply it to tailor their communication so that it is constructive.
The training was led by Nikola Velickovic, a certified TACK & TMI master trainer and facilitator of group processes, who has dedicated the past 8 years to creating innovative educational solutions for individuals, NGOs and companies. Nicholas is the “Learning Journey Consultant” of the Gi Group, which as a longtime major educational partner of Creative Mentoring, supports program participants through various pieces of training, workshops and coaching sessions.
The workshop was evaluated by the participants with the highest marks, and after the workshop in the same space was organized a meeting with mentors, alumni members and program partners.
The workshop and socializing were held in the great space “Lumina Images”, led by one of the participants of the 5th cycle of the program Alexei Vasic, to which we are especially grateful.
